London was also chosen to host the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic games. Building work is well underway for what promises to be a truly memorable spectacle that all Londoners want to be a part of.
Transport links in the city are second to none. The London Underground ("The Tube") and bus network will whisk you to your destination quickly and inexpensively. Rail links to the rest of the country are excellent and should you wish to go further afield Heathrow and Gatwick international airports provide all the options you'll need.
